Setting

A good portion of the city is in ruins with some buildings barely standing upright. Very few roads are in decent condition, with all sorts of plant life and vegetation growing out of them. The roads and streets that are traveled most often are the only ones that are not in disrepair. All electricity to the city was cut off long ago.

Human's state

With all the war going on and tired of being sheep to the slaughter, the humans decided it would be best to evacuate About two years ago, the humans abandoned their stronghold, Salvus, wishing to move out and expand their territory. The underground area remains tightly locked to this day, waiting to be opened by the infamous 4 pronged key.

Humans are making there way back into the city, looking for the key to their greatest stronghold. Not many places in the world are inhabitable any more, and talk of some lost secrets that could turn the tide of the war has peaked the humans interest. The human race in its entirety has been left without a leader for quite some time, causing them to be far spread and united on very little.

Vampire's State

The vampires successfully managed to secure more ground to face the lycans as the humans left the city. With the absence of the humans, the vampires had a lot less to worry about, or so they thought. Not long after the humans left, an old vampire appeared. The power of this new vampire drew many away from the coven, weakening its numbers dramatically. The rumors that are circulating around say that he is older and stronger then any vampire alive to date. The elders have been struggling ever since to keep the few that remain in the coven loyal, but tensions are running high and loyalties are at the breaking point.

The lycans boosted their numbers immensely before the humans evacuated the city, giving them the strength in numbers needed to fight the ones who had once used them, vampires. The alphas have kept most of the pack from going berserk and charging in head strong against their adversaries. In the time that the humans have been gone, the lycans have lived in peace, not wishing to lose any of their kind. Now that the humans are returning though, there is talk amongst the pack that they should start biting people once more to add more to their fighting force. The alphas have made it clear though not to attack unless absolutely necessary, reminding them that their kind originally came from humans and giving into the urge to attack them is exactly what the vampires wanted them to do from the beginning. Most of the younger members though don't buy it, noting the plague that is spreading through their kind like wildfire. This new disease effects the very thing that most lycans depend on, their healing capabilities. The alphas are well aware of this however, and are attempting to determine what is the cause of this plague. In their digging though, they have found that this disease might have been caused by one of their own.
