Accounts & Characters
-- You may have as many characters as you wish. We just ask that you to keep them active. Activity checks will happen every now and again to make sure that characters are not sitting around gathering dust.
--Please help us keep the gender ratio close to the same. If you have already created two female characters, your next character should preferably be a male. None of us want a forum of just one gender. Where's the fun in that?
--Please help us also keep the race ratio close to the same. If you have created two vampires already, your next character should to be either a human or a lycan. This forum is supposed to be about the different races, not just one of them.
-- No Mary Sues. A Mary Sue is a character who generally is very glamorous or has very few flaws. If you're not sure of what a Mary Sue is, you can check Wikipedia's article on them. If you don't know whether or not your character is a Mary Sue, you can either take this test or ask one of the moderators to look your character's application over for you in private.
--Please keep one account per character. If you're going to make a new character, make a new account.
Posting/ Roleplaying
-- No sexual content allowed. Proboards has been cracking down on this rule big time.
-- No meta-gaming or god-modding. Your character is not all powerful and definitely does not know everything in the universe. Before a fight or conflict of any kind, please discuss it with those involved. Our Staff would prefer not to deal with these kinds of problems. Let's all use common sense here. [Meta-Gaming]
-- If you have special abilities, keep them reasonable and within the limits that you described in your character application.
-- Do not kill someone's character unless they have given you permission.
-- Please make sure your posts are grammatically correct and in English. (Dialogue is an exception to this if your character speaks another language). We're not asking you to be English majors here, but make sure that it makes some sense.
-- Please keep a general posting order. That means if there are 3 people in a thread, the people reply in the order they entered. This just helps to keep things organized.
-- While we here on When Dawn Falls do not have a word count, we ask that you try to keep your posts at around (at the very least) 200-250 words. This is just to help keep threads going. One or two line replies are hard to reply to. If you need help with this, feel free to contact one of the Staff members and they will be happy to help. (We also have an RP counter on the side table. Just simply copy paste the text into the bar at the bottom and press the + sign. It will then tell you how many words you have.)
Graphics
-- No nudity or explicit content allowed!
-- All graphics must be 200x300px. No larger, no smaller. When you have an image that you wish to use, simply go to Profile→Edit Profile and select the Uploaded/Linked option. DO NOT upload an image. If you do so, it will not turn out right. Please upload the image to an image hosting site and link it as your picture.
--Signatures are to be no larger than 500x300px.
--Avatars must be anime characters/animated singers like vocaloids/etc.
Out of Character
-- Don't change your cbox username too often. This is so that we are able to identify you and who you play without having to constantly ask.
-- Don't spam the cbox.
--No nudity or explicit content on the OOC boards and in the cbox
-- No in-character roleplaying. There are boards for that. Plotting in the cbox with others is fine.
-- Staff have the final word. They will each use their best judgement to handle any situation that may arise, but their word is final. If you have something to say, PM them.
-- If it gets too intense, take it to PM's. This is a public area, do not make a spectacle of your problems for all to see. Be respectful and take your fights elsewhere. If you are having a problem with a member, bring it to one of the Staff members and they will help you to sort it out.
-- No flame baiting. Attacking someone will not be tolerated. Don't be a troll and don't feed the troll.
-- If you see something, screencap it. If someone is breaking a rule and a staff member is not on, screencap it and send it to a staff member so proper action can be taken.
-- Don't be a jerk and use common sense.
--Don't be cruel. The chatbox does allow swearing and mild teasing, but do not take this too far or you will be warned by staff.
--Do not advertise anywhere on the forum besides the board that is specifically for it. (this included the cbox)
