Xeral is the oldest living vampire to date, having been alive since the beginning of the Egyptian empire. He was once a very powerful and influential official in the Egyptian kingdom, and it was those very things that caused him to be targeted by the beings known as vampires. The vampire cloven within the empire needed an individual who could get them close to the ruling house and give the vampires a chance to infect them. The blood-suckers were plotting a take over that would happen right under the human's noses. Unfortunately for them, they did not realize that it might be more of hindrance than a help to turn such an ambitious man. When he was first turned, he followed the Vampire Elders' orders of that time to a T. He did so only because he knew that they had far more power than him, and if he disobeyed, he would be tied to a pole in the sun to burn. The new vampire may have been reckless and ambitious, but he wasn't stupid. So, he waited it out, doing whatever the Elders requested and biding his time till the opportunity to rebel showed itself.
That time came during the fall of the Persian Empire. His kind had traveled along with the flow of man as the worms tried to take over the planet. Each time though, the human kingdoms that rose to power fell. It disgusted Xeral that they had to cling so closely to those that they were supposed to consider enemies so, he took action. Babylon was under attack, and the vampire forces had grown too large for the Elders to control just in one place. Each one had to position himself at the opposite ends of the city. Desperately, the vampires had been trying to keep the empire alive, but they were failing. Xeral, during the dead of night, left the city and approached the camp of Alexander the Great. The two ended up striking a deal, Xeral would kill all of the vampires in the city in exchange for a position in Alexander's new empire. And so it was done, Zeral made the streets of the great city flow with the blood of both humans and vampires. During this slaughter, he committed one of the greatest taboos amongst his kind, he drank the blood of his own kin. This is how he gained his excessive amount of power. The next evening, he left behind the city and all of the teachings that had been passed to him, and served under Alexander the Great.
During the time of the Greek Empire, Xeral created his own coven of vampires. They were called the Strix and had the symbol of an owl as their emblem. The coven was known far and wide for its power and animosity. It had also become famous for one certain individual, Vangel, who would later change his name to Vlad Tepes. Xeral was the one who turned the young man and he was also the one who taught him how to be a vampire. The two were almost inseparable, like father and son, and as time went on and a new world power rose, the two worked their way into the Roman society as nobilis. During this time, the vampire society began to gain its footing once more and created another eldership. This peaked Vangel's interest. Behind Xeral's back, the young vampire joined the new coven, lured by the offer of a chance of leadership. Slowly, Xeral's most trusted pupil began to be turned to the idea that the older vampire's methods were much too brutal. The Elders approached him one day, telling him that he needed to only do one task to be able to join their ranks, kill Xeral Malicion. Without a second thought, Vangel accepted, his own greedy desire for power taking priority over his loyalty to his father figure. After many months of planning and preparation, the young vampire launched his plan, but failed to kill the old vampire. The use of silver on the old being only immobilized him, he had grown too powerful. In a panic, Vangel locked Xeral up in a tomb, pinning him inside of a coffin with 6 spikes of silver. One through his head, one through each hand and foot, and one through his heart. And there Xeral Z. Malicion remained until 2010 during the Battle of World's End when he was released from his imprisonment by a group of ignorant humans.
Now, the King of Traitors is back and he has one goal in mind, end all that dare stand in his way and attain the Spell of Origin. He has followed the scroll to Old Philadelphia, using all of his new sources available to him. Slowly, he is gaining all that he had back, a vampire coven, a place to call his own, and all of the power he could ever crave for over others.

Xeral is a being of sophistication and can normally be seen wearing suits of varying color. The rest of his outfit follows his usual code of "keeping it classy." khaki pants, button up shirts, black leather shoes, a gold watch, etc. He is a height of 6'2" and weighs 205lbs. His eyes are a blue grey and he has black hair.

Xeral is a hard-headed, egotistical man who will stop at nothing to achieve his goals. He very rarely shows others his feelings, preferring to keep them bottled away. His view of others is poor unless they prove to be amusing entertainment or an asset who he could use. Time has not done him well as the older he's gotten, the more memories he has lost. He supposes that this is the price to pay for immortality.
